Lost at Sea

Who among us is really that brave?

Cheers of “that a girl!” and “way to go!” seek to console us.

They tell us about bravey and fortitude, of surviving against all odds

Survivors we are…. of trouble not our own.

Holders of responsibility, of actions we did not condone.

Captains of chaos and mess, that no one has stayed to confess.

We steer the home alone, left to ourselves, little girls lost at sea

“That a girl!” they shout from the shore, to our backs they give us a wave

Lost little girls who aren’t really that brave.

About You

Ahoy

Patti Jo Attwood moved to Southwest Florida from Chicago, Illinois as a small child. A resident of Florida since 1965 Patti Jo intimately knows the landscape and culture of Southwest Florida and has been documenting its growth and development in her pictures. Founder and Sole Proprietor of Attwood Images, Patti Jo, has been a photographer for over 20 years following in the footsteps of her father in photography. Now, a mother of five children and grandmother of two she has learned for herself how important it is to record those milestones in life. Her images have inspired countless words to those she has photographed. She envisions sunsets, beaches and the people who view them. Her work can be seen at www.attwoodimages.com.

Photographer, however, is not the only hat that Patti Jo wears. In these tough economic times she has put to use her other talents. She also owns an online travel website and wears the hat of travel agent. Her photography brings her into contact with many brides and grooms who go on honeymoons or either have family flying in from out of town for the “big day.” You can find her travel site by going to www.attwoodtravel.com.
